On 23rd March, 2010, the Taoiseach, Mr. Brian Cowen, T.D., announced a series of Ministerial moves, including the establishment of Mr. Dara Calleary, T.D., as Minister of State at the Departments of the Taoiseach and Finance and Enterprise, Trade and Innovation with special responsibility for Public Service Transformation and Labour Affairs. The Minister of State later addressed the Dáil about his new responsibility on public service reform.
Minister of State appointments were as follows:-
(1) John Curran, T.D.
to be Minister of State at the Departments of the Taoiseach and Defence, with special responsibility as Government Chief Whip;
(2) Dara Calleary, T.D.
to be Minister of State at the Departments of the Taoiseach and Finance and Enterprise, Trade and Innovation with special responsibility for Public Service Transformation and Labour Affairs.
(3) Ciarán Cuffe, T.D.
to be Minister of State at the Departments of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Transport and Environment, Heritage and Local Government, with special responsibility for Horticulture, Sustainable Travel and Planning and Heritage,
(4) Sean Connick, T.D.
to be Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, with special responsibility for Fisheries and Forestry;
(5) Mary White, T.D.
to be Minister of State at the Departments of Justice and Law Reform, Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs and Education and Skills, with special responsibility for Equality and Human Rights, and Integration;
(6) John Molony, T.D. will continue as Minister of State at the Departments of Health and Children, Education and Skills, Enterprise, Trade and Innovation and Justice and Law Reform, with special responsibility for Disability Issues and Mental Health;
