Document Formats:

Most of the publications/reports on this website are available in PDF format to provide for easier reading and printing offline. This format is not always readily accessible to users with disabilities. Because of this we have provided most documents in Rich Text Format (RTF) also. To access the PDF documents you will require Adobe Acrobat Reader which you can download free from here

Navigation Aids:

  • A breadcrumb link is available at the top each page to assist in navigation.
  • The home page and all internal pages include a search box.
  • Skip Navigation link in the site header to allow users skip over the navigation and go directly to the main content of each page.

Images:

All content images used in this site include descriptive ALT attributes. Purely decorative graphics include null ALT attributes.

Browsealoud:

Browsealoud is a computer program that reads aloud all website content including PDF and MS Word documents. As you move the cursor over words, they are spoken aloud. Browsealoud is free to the end user and makes using the Internet easier for people who have:

  • Low literacy and reading skills
  • English as a second language
  • Dyslexia
  • Mild visual impairments

Browsealoud is a Windows browser plug-in designed for use with Internet Explorer 4 upwards or Netscape Navigator. If you install the Browsealoud plugin onto your PC, you can have the web pages on this website read back to you. To avail of this service, the Browsealoud plugin is available for download to your browser from http://www.browsealoud.com/. You can also take a video tour which will assist you on how to use Browsealoud, access the options and change the way Browsealoud will read content aloud to you.
