If you have any suggestions for improvements to this website, we would be delighted to hear from you - Contact us LATEST NEWS.....To assist Departments/Offices in defining their strategic vision for the next three years, interested parties (e.g. customers, user groups, professional, trade and other organisations, private firms, service users, and individuals) are now invited to submit their views on the shape and content of these new Statements of Strategy. Some Departments/Offices may also contact key stakeholders directly with a view to encouraging the making of submissions. These Guidelines set out in broad outline the obligations imposed on Ministers and Secretaries General arising from the Public Service Management Act, 1997, and were prepared in order to inform, in particular, the process of preparing Statements of Strategy for the three-year period 2011 to 2013. I am delighted to be here this afternoon to present the fourth biennial Public Service Excellence Awards.
These Awards were established by my predecessor in 2004, as a means of showcasing excellence in the Public Service. In particular, the Awards recognise best practice in projects and initiatives that have enhanced the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of administration and delivery of public services. I am delighted to be able to continue the Awards this year. A lot has happened since the last edition of ONEGOV. The Public Service Agreement 2010-2014 has recently been ratified by the ICTU Public Services Committee. Parliamentary Question on Public Service Reform answered by An Taoiseach, Mr. Brian Cowen, T.D. on 29th June, 2010 On 23rd March, 2010, the Taoiseach, Mr. Brian Cowen, T.D., announced a series of Ministerial moves, including the establishment of Mr. Dara Calleary, T.D., as Minister of State at the Departments of the Taoiseach and Finance and Enterprise, Trade and Innovation with special responsibility for Public Service Transformation and Labour Affairs.
